Collection and processing of personal data

As long as you are unable to log in with your personal access data, you can visit the website of LiftEquip GmbH Elevator Components on an anonymous basis, i.e. without informing us of who you are. When you visit our website, our web servers in Germany save as standard the IP address of your internet service provider via which you access our website, the site from which you access our website and the files you access from us, as well as the date of your visit and general information about your browser. These data are processed to ensure the security of the web server and to adapt the output of the information retrieved to your output medium. These data are only analyzed in anonymized form for statistical purposes. We abbreviate the last two segments of an IPv4 address by setting these characters to zero: 2 byte(s) – e.g. 192.168.xxx.xxx

Personal data is stored and processed only if you provide us with this information, e.g. when completing a contact form or registering for personalized services. On the respective website you will be informed about the intended use and, if necessary, your consent to the storage and processing requested. Disclosure will only take place to companies and service providers affiliated with us, for example to send you the requested written information. Of course, all service providers are committed to data secrecy and confidentiality. A transfer to other third parties does not take place. Your data is always encrypted before transmission and processing to protect this data against unauthorized access.

Range analysis with Matomo

In pursuit of our legitimate interests (i.e. the interest in analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our online product range in the meaning of Art. 6 [1f] GDPR), we employ Matomo, an open source software for the statistical evaluation of user access. The IP address of users is abbreviated before it is saved. However, Matomo uses cookies, which are stored on the computer of the user and permit analysis of the use of the online product range by the user. Pseudonymous usage profiles of the users can be produced with the data processed.

The information generated by the cookie on your use of this online product range is stored on our server and not passed on to third parties.

Many browsers have a Do Not Track option with which the evaluation of your access is suppressed. This option is often activated by default; Matomo analyses this information and does not save your access if this option is activated.

You have the option here to activate a cookie on your computer, which permits Matomo to recognise that you do not your access to be stored. You can see here whether Do Not Track is activated in your browser:

Contact Form

To respond to your request LiftEquip GmbH Elevator Components will process the following personal data if provided in the contact form: form of address, first name, last name, email and content of your request. We will forward your personal data to recipients where this is necessary to meet your request. The legal basis for processing your personal data depends on your request and may take the form of a contract with you (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR), your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) or our legitimate interests in providing you with a good service based on a balance of interests (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). We are supported in the operation of our contact form by our IT service providers as order processors. We will process your data – where processing is based on your consent – until your consent is withdrawn or – where processing is based on a balance of interests – until you object to this or your request has been completed. Unless you provide the data required to contact you and to understand and process your request, we will not be able to process your request. All other information is optional. This service is only for persons over the age of 18.

If we process your personal data on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), you can withdraw this consent at any time for the future. If we process your personal data on the basis of a balance of interests (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR), you can object to this at any time for the future.

In addition we process the referrer information in connection with use of the contact form (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR), which is erased after 4 weeks at the latest. It is technically not possible to use the contact form without collecting this information.

Newsletter

The following information tells you more about the contents of our newsletter, the registration, mailing and statistical evaluation process and your right of cancellation. By subscribing to our newsletter, you hereby declare your agreement to its receipt and the procedure described. We forward newsletters, e-mails and other electronic notifications with advertising information (hereafter “newsletter√¢‚Ǩ¬ù) only with the consent of the recipient or legal permission. If its contents are described in detail as part of the registration for the newsletter, they are decisive for the consent of the user. Otherwise, our newsletter includes information on our products, offers, campaigns and our company.

Registration for our newsletter occurs via a so-called double opt-in procedure. In other words, following registration you will receive an e-mail in which you are asked to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary to prevent someone else registering with third-party e-mail addresses. Registrations for the newsletter are recorded in order to be able prove the registration process according to the legal requirements. This includes storage of the registration and confirmation time as well as the IP address. Changes in your data stored at the mailing service provider are likewise recorded.

Mailing of the newsletter is performed by CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG, Mühlenstr. 43, 26180 Rastede, hereinafter termed “mailing service provider.√¢‚Ǩ¬ù You can view the data protection provisions of the mailing service provider here: www.cleverreach.com/en/privacy-policy/. Furthermore, according to the mailing service provider, it can use this information in pseudonymous form, i.e. without allocation to a user, to optimise or improve its own services, e.g. for the technical optimisation of the mailing and presentation of the newsletter or for statistical purposes, to determine from what countries the recipients come from. However, the mailing service provider does not use the data of our newsletter to write to the recipients itself or to pass it on to third parties.

To register for the newsletter, all you have to do is state your e-mail address. Optionally, we ask for a name for the purpose of personal address in the newsletters.

The newsletter includes a so-called “web beacon√¢‚Ǩ¬ù i.e. a pixel-sized file, which upon opening of the newsletter can be retrieved from the server of the mailing service provider. As part of this retrieval, technical information is initially collected, such as information about the browser and your system as well as your IP address and the time of the retrieval. This information is used for the technical improvement of the service on the basis of the technical data or target groups and their reading behaviour on the basis of their retrieval locations (which can be determined with the assistance of the IP address) or the access times. The statistics collected also include determining whether the newsletter was opened, at what time and which links were clicked. For technical reasons, this information can admittedly be attributed to individual newsletter recipients. But it is not our intention or that of our mailing service provider to observe individual users. The evaluation helps us rather to become familiar with the reading habits of our users and adjust our contents to them or send different contents according to the interests of our users.

The use of the mailing service provider, collection and analysis of statistics and recording of the registration procedure occur on the basis of our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1f) GDPR. We are interested in deploying a user-friendly and secure newsletter system, which serves both our business interests as well as the expectations of the users.

Consequently, you can cancel our newsletter at any time, i.e. revoke your consent. Your consent to its mailing by the mailing service provider and the statistical analyses are deleted simultaneously. Unfortunately, separate revocation of mailing by the mailing service provider or of statistical analysis is not possible. You can find a link for the cancellation of the newsletter at the end of each newsletter. If users have only registered for the newsletter and have cancelled this registration, their personal data is deleted.
